Preparing for Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26:

-When we thank God for the help of our Missionary Partnership Team who has helped us raise our financial support for this coming year, so we can return to Nepal;

-When we thank God for many of you who support us prayerfully and financially so this can happen;

-When we thank God for our families with some of whom we can celebrate Thanksgiving Day while others who have helped us in our preparations for our return to Nepal.

Preparing for our return to Nepal, Friday, November 27:

-Fixing up our home for renters we are trusting God will provide;

-Buying and packing personal goods to take with us for another three years;

-Packing and storing our personal household items;

-Getting last minute medical appointments.

Preparing for Jesus, the first Sunday of Advent, November 29:

-Preparing our hearts to celebrate Jesus' birth and to anticipate His return;

-Singing Christmas carols, reading special scriptures,opening an Advent Calendar and lighting Advent candles on an Advent wreath;

-Decorating with Nativity Sets and evergreen poinsettias;

-Buying gifts for loved ones and friends;

-Being a part of special Christmas programs.

     Re-adjust to living in Nepal;

     Find a new place to live;

     Participate in an intensive language study program to refresh our language skills.

May we all live in hope this Advent, as we Sydnors celebrate the season in Nepal and you, in the US. May our hope in Christ be renewed and our appreciation for all Christ did to reconcile us to God be deepened.
