"God's Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!" Romans 8:14 (MSG)
This past Sunday our family was surrounded with love and lifted up in prayer as our home church, the Federated Church of Green Lake, WI, honored us with a farewell brunch. The scripture above spoke to our hearts during the morning worship, assuring us that God's Spirit is ahead of us preparing the way and Jesus is calling, "Come, follow me."
As we leave to begin another term of service in India with International Ministries, we feel strengthened by the network of partners God has raised up to come along side us in our ministry to support us in many ways.Coordinating this partnership for us is our Missionary Partnership Team.We would like to introduce our team to you:
Sandy Schoeninger –former ABC missionary who served at Kodaikanal International School in India for many years.Sandy will be the Team Leader, using her own mission experience to help interpret our work, organize a mission trip to India, and keep track of the financial goals.
Karen Gygax Rodriguez – pastor of Green Lake Federated Church.
Lance and Barb Percy – good friends from Ripon, WI and parents of Anna's best friend and college roommate, Megan.Lance works at Green Lake Conference Center but has recently accepted the call back to church ministry in Columbus, Indiana.
Millie Myren – former Executive Minister of ABC Metro Chicago and member of Morgan Park Baptist Church in Chicago.
Paul Higgins – VP of Finance at Green Lake Conference Center and member of Green Lake Federated Church.
Kathy Grahn – member of Green Lake Federated Church and energizer / do-er extraordinaire.
Please pray for us:
- For travel mercies – we leave the US on June 25th and will arrive in Kodaikanal on June 29th.
- For courage and comfort as we say goodbye to family and friends.Anna will not be coming with us – she has a summer job with the Quest program at Green Lake Conference Center and in August will return to Taylor University.
- For strength as we settle again in Kodaikanal and learn our new roles and duties; and that the assurance of Psalm 139 would keep our hearts in peace and joy:If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
