When you hear “360”, these are some possible options:

360 degree feedback, a positive addition to your performance management system. It provides each employee the opportunity to receive performance feedback from his/her supervisor and four to eight peers, reporting staff members, coworkers and customers.

Anderson Cooper 360, a fast-moving, surprising and provocative alternative to the typical network evening newscast.

360° degrees, equal to a turn which is a unit of plane angle. It is not so much that the circle is defined to be 360 degrees, but the other way around - the degree is a unit of angular measure which is 1/360th of a full "rotation."

With what do we usually associate “360”?

Acts 3:19: Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Acts 14:15: “Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them.

Acts 26:18: “I (Jesus) am sending you to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”

But that is really a 180 degree turn, going in the other direction, turning our backs to darkness, Satan, and sin. A true and real 360 degree means to go full circle, in a full rotation; to fulfill God’s will in our lives. It is when we get to heaven on our day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30: And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.). It is when we are saved by His blood, shed on the cross, sealed with His Holy Spirit… Then our lives go full circle, 360 degrees to the fulfillment of His grace and mercy upon our lives.

That is why there is evangelism, missions, and discipleship. That is why there are churches at home, associations that gather them, regions that orient and coordinate them, and a Baptist family at large that is being served by our mission society… Together we can do lots more to share the Good News around the world, going full circle, going 360! 360° grados, equivalentes a una vuelta que es una unidad de un ángulo plano. No es tanto que a un círculo se le defina como 360 grados, sino todo lo contrario—un grado es una unidad de medida angular que equivale a 1/360 de una “rotación” completa.

¿Con qué asociamos “360” con frecuencia?

Hechos 3:19: Por tanto, para que sean borrados sus pecados, arrepiéntanse y vuélvanse a Dios, a fin de que vengan tiempos de descanso de parte del Señor,

Hechos 14:15: “—Señores, ¿por qué hacen esto? Nosotros también somos hombres mortales como ustedes. Las buenas nuevas que les anunciamos es que dejen estas cosas sin valor y se vuelvan al Dios viviente, que hizo el cielo, la tierra, el mar y todo lo que hay en ellos.”

Hechos 26:18: “Yo (Jesús) te envío para que les abras los ojos y se conviertan de las tinieblas a la luz, y del poder de Satanás a Dios, a fin de que, por la fe en mí, reciban el perdón de los pecados y la herencia entre los santificados.”

Pero en realidad esto sería un cambio con un giro de 180 grados, caminar en la dirección contraria, dándole la espalda a la oscuridad, a Satanás, al pecado. Un verdadero y real 360 es ir en rotación completa; cumplir la voluntad de Dios en nuestras vidas. Será cuando lleguemos al cielo para el día de nuestra redención (Efesios 4:30: No agravien al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual fueron sellados para el día de la redención.). Es cuando somos salvados por Su sangre, derramada en la Cruz, sellados con Su Espíritu Santo… Entonces hacemos rotación completa, de 360 grados, en la consumación de Su gracia y misericordia en nuestras vidas.

Por eso hay evangelismo, misiones y discipulado. Por eso hay iglesias locales, asociaciones, regiones, y una familia Bautista a quienes nuestra sociedad misionera sirve. Podemos hacer mucho más para compartir las Buenas Nuevas alrededor del mundo, en rotación completa, a los 360 grados! Como cuerpo misionero vamos en Su y su nombre.
