Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me."

Yesterday Jan. 17th we had a great timing of learning together led by our friend and colleague in ministry, the Executive Minister of the Great Rivers Region, Dr. Dwight Stinnet. Since he was a part of the GRR delegation working together with the Costa Rican Federation of Baptist Churches on a joint project in Alajuelita, we asked if he would be willing to share with the leaders and pastors who we work with on the theme of Healthy Church.

We were excited to have over 23 pastors and leaders gather who represented 13 different churches. With animated reflection, we learned from one another and from the Christ who leads us on together. Though we didn't solve all of the world's problems or figure out how to fix the church in four hours, we did think deeply, share honestly and reminded each other of what was more important and to what God is calling us to do and be.

The yoke that hangs on the wall of our gathering center at the Federacion offices is a symbol of work for all Costa Ricans and a symbol of unity and learning for our Costa Rican Christian brothers and sisters. We felt a real sense of accomplishment seeing our brothers and sisters from many different churches and two different countries learning to follow the same Lord in healthier ways.

• We give thanks for the opportunity to serve and learn together with the churches of the Costa Rican Federation.
• We give thanks for your faithful prayers and support.
• We give thanks to God for life and breathe and an opportunity to serve.
