Jehová le dijo a Abram en Génesis 12 “Vete de tu tierra y de tu parentela, y de la casa de tu padre, a la tierra que te mostraré.” Jehová le dijo a Moisés respecto al pueblo de Israel en Éxodo 14:15 “que marchen”. Jesús instruyó a Sus discípulos en Mateo 28:19 “… id y haced discípulos de todas las naciones…” Con frecuencia debemos movernos de nuestra zona cómoda, marchar en fe y ser obedientes.

UMMBE-Levante…
El sábado 20, las Mujeres de la Comunidad Valenciana (también conocida como Levante) se reunieron en la IEB Valencia-Quart para su conferencia regional bienal. Vinieron a elegir su nueva directiva regional para los próximos dos años. Luego de un tiempo de alabanza y adoración, de estudiar la Palabra juntas (con la Pastora Stella-Maris Merlo), de disfrutar una exquisita paella (cocinada por los [R]UMMBEros, los hombres de la iglesia), la nueva directiva fue elegida. La Junta Permanente de la Unión de Mujeres Misioneras Bautistas de España (UMMBE) instruyeron a y oraron por la nueva junta “que marchen” a servir a la niñez, adolescencia y mujeres en sus Iglesias locales así como en las comunidades que les rodean. ¡Qué gozo ver mujeres tan entusiastas y comprometidas en Su servicio! Levante se relaciona con “levantarse”… cuando nos “levantamos” es mucho más fácil “marchar”…

ABCLA-Reunión de Promotores de Misión…
Skype sigue acercándonos a nuestra red de hermanos y hermanas. Tras la conferencia regional, nos unimos a los promotores de misión de ABCLA en su taller de adiestramiento del otoño en Trinity Baptist Church. Asistieron 13 iglesias y 3 misioneros fueron representados. Otro taller se programará para principios del 2011. Nos regocijamos de compartir la conexión en skype con colegas en misión en Tailandia, Zambia, Líbano y México. Coordinar estas llamadas por skype considerando diferentes países y zonas horarias es un desafío logístico pero trae un sabor más variado y completo de los ministerios integrales que representamos alrededor del mundo. Gracias, ABCLA y promotores de misión, por sostenernos con sus oraciones, entusiasmo y recursos económicos.

IEB Xátiva…
Dios es fiel. El prometió venir y arreglar el desorden que Adán y Eva provocaron al principio y lo hizo. Al acercarnos a la celebración del nacimiento de Jesús, Carlos compartió en la Escuela Dominical de jóvenes y adultos en IEB Xátiva el domingo 21 basándose en las promesas del Antiguo Testamento que tienen su cumplimiento en el Nuevo Testamento. El es fiel a Sí mismo y a Su pueblo; como el sol sale por el este y se pone por el occidente. Disfrutamos una tarde tranquila y agradable con Abel y su esposa Blasi, líderes en Xátiva y la región. Abel y su hija Débora participan del Curso de Formación en Dénia dos veces al mes, así como Natanael, también miembro en Xátiva. Qué agradable sentarnos a la mesa para compartir, sonar y ver a Dios en acción…

Que marchen…
Con gran poder viene gran responsabilidad… El poder de Su Palabra, compartido en el Curso de Formación, a través del poder de Su Espíritu, puede ser dinamita… Comenzamos con 21 y en la segunda teníamos 31 participantes… Se riega la voz y quienes tienen llamado a aprender y servir vienen a enriquecer nuestro tiempo juntos. Qué bendición por habernos ido de nuestras tierras de origen, seguir aprendiendo a marchar en fe y haciendo discípulos de todas las naciones (el grupo tiene 9 nacionalidades representadas hasta ahora). Seguimos orando al preparar más líderes laicos y pastorales para servir en Iglesias de la UEBE en las congregaciones multiculturales que siguen naciendo, con la misión de Dios en sus corazones y Su Palabra como manual del usuario.

¿Aceptas irte de tu tierra y tu parentela, “tu zona cómoda”? ¿Aceptas “marchar” y “hacer discípulos”? No hay nada que satisfaga más que el servirle a Aquel que lo ha hecho todo por mí, incluyendo perdonar mis pecados y darme una vida nueva y eternal. ¿Les cuentas a otras para que marchen también?

The LORD said to Abram in Genesis 12 “leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” The LORD instructed the people of Israel through Moses in Exodus 14:15 to “go forward”. Jesus instructed His disciples in Matthew 28:19 “… go and make disciples of all nations…” Quite often we are encouraged to move from our comfort zone, walk in faith, and be obedient.

UMMBE-Levante…
On Saturday the 20th, women from the Valencian Community (also known as Levante) met at the IEB Valencia-Quart for their biennial regional conference. They came to elect their new regional board for the next two years. After time of praise and worship, of studying the Word together (with Pastor Stella-Maris Merlo), enjoying a tasty and excellent “paella” (cooked by the UMMBEros, the men at church), a new board was elected. The national board led the process, instructing and praying for the new board to “go forward” in service to the children, adolescents and women in their local congregations and the communities that surround them. What a joy to see such enthusiastic women, committed to His service! Levante means “to stand up”… when we stand up, it is much easier to “go forward”…

ABCLA-Mission Advocate Gathering…
Skype continues to bring us closer to our network of brothers and sisters. Right after the regional conference, we joined the ABCLA Mission Advocates that were gathering for their fall training session at Trinity Baptist Church. There were 13 churches and 3 missionaries represented. Another Training Event will take place early in 2011. We rejoiced to share the skype connection with fellow colleagues from Thailand, Zambia, Lebanon, and Mexico. Coordinating these skype calls with missionaries in different countries and time zones can be quite a logistic challenge yet it brings a more varied and comprehensive flavor of the holistic ministries we represent around the world. Thanks ABCLA and Mission Advocates for upholding His mission through your prayers, encouragement, and financial support.

IEB Xátiva…
God is faithful. He promised to come and fix the mess Adam and Eve had caused in the beginning, and He has… As we get closer to celebrating Jesus’ birth, Carlos was blessed to share a Sunday School class with youth and adults at IEB Xátiva on Sunday the 21th based on Old Testament promises and their consummation in the New Testament. He is faithful to Himself and to His people; as the sun rises from the east and sets in the west… We had a peaceful and enjoyable afternoon with Abel and his wife Blasi, lay leaders in Xátiva and the region. Abel and their daughter Débora are participating in the Curso de Formación (leadership workshops and trainings) in Dénia twice a month along with Natanael, also member in Xátiva. We truly enjoyed seating at their table to share, dream, and see God at work.

Go forward…
With great power, comes great responsibility… The power of His Word, shared in the Curso de Formación, through the power of His Spirit, can be dynamite… We started with 21 on the first session and on the second session we had 31… Word has spread and those being called to learn and serve are coming to enrich our time together. We are blessed as we have left our countries of origin, learned to go forward in faith, and go, making disciples of all nations (the group has 9 nationalities represented so far). We continue to pray many leaders and pastors will be ready to put their hands in the plow to serve in UEBE’s churches, serving the multicultural congregations spreading all over with God’s mission at heart and His Word as the user’s manual.

Are you ready to “leave your comfort zone”? Are you ready to “go forward” and “make disciples”? There is nothing more satisfying than serving the One who has done everything for me, including forgiving my sins and giving me a new life with eternal value. Ready to share such truth with others, to go forward, too?
