We give thanks for our first Thanksgiving Day in Spain. We give thanks for those who are preparing for the hospital chaplaincy ministry. We give thanks for Elisa and her dedication in Almussafes last Sunday. We give thanks for sharing the Word in Puerto de Sagunto. We give thanks for being in Spain to represent each of you our Lord’s ambassadors as we enter into Advent and the celebration of His birth…

Hospital Chaplaincy Ministry…
Every last Friday of the month, this ministry meets in Mislata to prepare as they await the paperwork and permits to fulfill their ministry in hospital chaplaincy. About 20 of them meet to receive training through workshops, to share from the Word in preparation for their ministry. As we shared with them our own testimonies of hospital and home care, we shared Romans 12:15, which has led our ministry to those who rejoice and to those who weep. May we be sensitive to patients and caregivers. May we love with His heart.

Almussafes…
November begun with Matthew 19:14 and ends with the same. In Almussafes, we were blessed to witness as pastor Jesús came from Turís to dedicate little Elisa, Henrique and Ana’s daughter. It is one of the ceremonies that we enjoy the most, dedicating a baby to the Lord as Jesus was dedicated. The church members is entrusted to accompany relatives in caring and raising children that will one day, as they grow and mature, decide to repent from their sins, accept Jesus as their Savior, and live lives that will honor Him. May we always be reminded of such blessing and responsibility.

Puerto de Sagunto…
We give thanks for the Word Carlos shared from 1 Thessalonians 5:18 and Ephesians 5:19-20… there are always reasons to be grateful, even in the midst of challenges. As Cristina continues to prepare at the seminary in Madrid, we continue to pray and serve in her home church that is supporting her call to ministry.

Give thanks…
Almost six months into our time in Spain, we are urged to “give thanks in all circumstances”, “always giving thanks to God the Father for everything”. Thanks for your prayers, for your encouragement, and your obedience and faithfulness in answering the Lord’s nudging to provide for each of us in the field. Each of us is where we’re needed the most to show His love and mercy.

Thanksgiving Day (and Black Friday) behind us for this year, we plunge into a Christmas season that focuses more on purchases and gift giving than in The Reason for the season. Let us be reminded of His sacrifice on the cross as we celebrate His birth, and let us do His will in Jesus Christ, with gratitude!

Ministerio de Capellanía Hospitalaria…
Cada último viernes del mes, este ministerio se reúne en Mislata para prepararse mientras esperan los papeles y permisos para ejecutar su ministerio de capellanía hospitalaria. Unas 20 personas se reúnen para recibir adiestramiento y capacitación y para compartir La Palabra en preparación para su ministerio. Al compartirles nuestros testimonios de experiencias hospitalarias y en hogares, compartimos de Romanos 12:15, que ha guiado nuestro ministerio a quienes lloran y quienes se alegran. Que seamos sensibles tanto a pacientes como cuidadores. Que amemos con Su corazón.

Almussafes…
Noviembre comenzó con Mateo 19:14 y así termina. En Almussafes, fuimos bendecidos viendo al pastor Jesús que vino de Turís a dedicar a la pequeña Elisa, hija de Henrique y Ana. Es una de las ceremonias que más disfrutamos, la dedicación de bebés al Señor tal como Jesús fue dedicado. La membrecía de la iglesia es exhortada a acompañar a los familiares en cuidar y criar a estos que en su día, al adquirir edad y madurez, decidan arrepentirse de sus pecados, aceptar a Jesús como Salvador y vivir vidas que Le honren. Recordemos siempre esa bendición y responsabilidad.

Puerto de Sagunto…
Damos gracias por La Palabra que Carlos compartió basado en 1 Tesalonicenses 5:18 y Efesios 5:19-20… siempre hay motivos para ser agradecidos, aun en medio de los desafíos. Mientras Cristina sigue preparándose en el Seminario en Madrid, seguimos orando y sirviendo en su iglesia madre que la apoya en su llamamiento ministerial.

Damos gracias…
A casi seis meses de estar en España, La Palabra nos exhorta a que “den gracias a Dios en toda situación”, “dando siempre gracias a Dios el Padre por todo”. Gracias por tus oraciones, tu entusiasmo y tu obediencia y fidelidad al responder la invitación del Señor a proveer para cada misionero que estamos sirviéndole. Cada uno y una estamos donde más El nos necesita para mostrar Su amor y misericordia.

Ya pasó el Día de Acción de Gracias (y el Viernes Negro) y nos enfrentamos a una temporada navideña donde el énfasis está en el comercio y en los regalos más que en el Motivo de la Festividad. Recordemos Su sacrificio en la cruz al celebrar Su nacimiento. Hagamos Su voluntad en Jesucristo, ¡con gratitud!
