January is when we stop to review and start a clean slate with renewed strength... We are grateful for these congregational families, brothers and sisters we've met and served with this first half of our first year in Spain: Valencia-Quart, Mislata, Puerto de Sagunto, Almussafes, Segorbe, La Vall D’Uixó, Xátiva, Requena, and the leadership workshops and trainings in Dénia.

Thanks for keeping these, the Baptist Evangelical Union of Spain, and each partner in mission in Spain in your prayers throughout 2011 so that together we can shine with the light of Jesus (Ephesians 5:8) with warmth to the world around us.

I have enjoyed a mission-based friendship with Carlos & Mayra & family over the past seven years. A highlight was seeing and sharing with them “in action” while the BGs were serving churches in Chile. Now I’m glad to see the family adjusting well to new challenges and opportunities in Spain. Our Missionary Partnership Team appreciates all who have supported and support Carlos & Mayra with encouragement, prayer or finances. We are thankful to see commitments to their support now most of the way to their goal (check their profile), enabling them to reach ministry goals in lay and pastoral leadership training, education curriculum development, and outreach to migrants through their hosting convention's congregations. We invite you to join (or continue in) our network of support to them with your prayers, your encouragement, and your financial support throughout this New Year 2011.

He disfrutado una amistad misionera con Carlos & Mayra & familia por los pasados siete años. Sigo recordando ver y compartir con ellos "en acción" mientras los BGs servían las iglesias en Chile. Ahora me regocijo al verles ajustándose bien a las nuevas oportunidades y desafíos en España. Nuestro Ministerio Participativo Transcultural aprecia todas las personas que han apoyado y apoyan a Carlos & Mayra con su aliento, oración o finanzas.
