Ya que les hemos presentado nuestras familias en España, les contamos lo que hemos vivido estas últimas semanas. El mes de enero ha traído sus oportunidades de ministerio y sus propios desafíos y satisfacciones. El Día de Reyes (6 de enero) lo disfrutamos saboreando un delicioso Roscón de Reyes…

Segorbe y La Vall D’Uixó…
El Señor ha provisto una pareja pastoral para La Vall D’Uixó/Segorbe que se mudará y comenzará su ministerio a partir de febrero. Esteban y Ruth han estado en Orihuela, punto de misión de Murcia, este último año y Dios les ha invitado a pastorear estas comunidades de fe. El domingo 9 compartimos la Palabra alentando a Segorbe en sus múltiples ministerios y a La Vall D’Uixó a continuar su camino de santidad para causar un impacto en su comunidad. Que hermosa bendición haber compartido con doña María y don Jaime, fieles en Segorbe y celebrar el cumples de don Carlos, quien junto a su esposa doña Teresa también proveen solidez y perseverancia a esta congregación que ha contado con el liderato de hermanos como Gerardo y como Elizabeth, migrantes colombianos haciendo misión en su nueva patria. Nuestros corazones también quedan con pilares como don Cesareo, don Diego y doña María, don Silvano y doña Manolita en La Vall D’Uixó y la juventud que se levanta y dirige la adoración y alabanza como Raquel, Noemí, Manuel, Oliver y Damaris quienes presididos por Emilio y en diaconía con Vicky, Victoria, Oscar y Diego han vivido este año de búsqueda de su liderato pastoral. Os rogamos continuar orando con nosotros por estas amadas congregaciones y sus ministerios en adelante.

Cursos de Formación…
Mes tras mes, en dos martes cada mes, continuamos explorando las profundidades del Antiguo Testamento y aplicándolas en diferentes modelos homiléticos junto a hermanos y hermanas que continúan entusiastas y ávidos del saber para compartir en sus congregaciones y sus vidas diarias. Hemos logrado una koinonía y camaradería alentadora donde nos preocupamos no sólo de lo académico sino de ofrecer y recibir pastoreo mutuo entre cada participante. Continuemos orando por cada líder y pastor que asiste, participa, reflexiona, debate y aplica lo compartido, por el impacto en la extensión del Reino de estas sesiones bimensuales. Uno de ellos nos escribía: “Doy gracias al Señor por poner siervos como vosotros en mi camino. Con hermanos como vosotros Él suple abundantemente mi necesidad de aprender de Su palabra.” Gracias os damos por hacer posible estar en España como instrumentos del Señor para bendición de esta familia en la fe con quienes colaboramos. Entre nuestros participantes están Emilio Cobo (de España) y Francisco Reyes (de Honduras) quienes viajan desde la Vall D’Uixó, los participantes que viajan del lugar más lejos de Dénia (162 km/100 millas) para disfrutar y compartir. Les seguiremos presentando cada participante durante el resto de este semestre, mientras seguimos conociendo la parentela…

Un momento para reflexionar…
El domingo 9 orábamos por nuestros hermanos y hermanas en el sur de Sudán y su referendo. Orábamos por las familias en Nigeria que perdieron seres amados en los asesinatos de la Nochebuena y las de Egipto al despuntar el 2011. Hoy martes 11 hacíamos un alto para orar en el Dia de Concienciación del Tráfico Humano, Campaña No-Está-A-La-Venta, una iniciativa de nuestras mujeres bautistas. Tanto dolor y destrucción a nuestro alrededor… Gracias por hacer posible que tantas unidades misioneras estemos en diferentes países para mostrar el amor y la esperanza que sólo nuestro Padre puede ofrecer.

Segorbe and La Vall D’Uixó…
The Lord has brought a pastoral couple to La Vall D’Uixó/Segorbe that will move in and begin their ministry with them in February. Esteban and Ruth have been in Orihuela, a mission-church of Murcia, this last year and God has invited them to pastor these communities of faith. On Sunday 9 we shared with Segorbe a Word of encouragement in their ministries and with La Vall D’Uixó to continue their road to sanctity to cause an impact in their community. What a special blessing to have shared with doña María and don Jaime, faithful ones in Segorbe and to celebrate the birthday with don Carlos, who along with his wife doña Teresa provide perseverance and solidarity to this congregation that has enjoyed the leadership of brothers like Gerardo and like Elizabeth, Colombian migrants who are committed to missions in their new hometown. Our hearts are left behind with pillars such as don Cesareo, don Diego and doña María, don Silvano and doña Manolita in La Vall D’Uixó and the youth that is leading praise and worship like Raquel, Noemí, Manuel, Oliver and Damaris who presided by Emilio and deacons like Vicky, Victoria, Oscar and Diego have lived this year of pastoral leadership search. We covet you to continue praying for these beloved communities of faith and their ministries hereafter.

Cursos de Formación…
Month after month, two Tuesdays a month, we continue exploring the hidden treasures of the Old Testament and applying them to different models in Homiletics with our brothers and sisters who continue encouraged and hungry to learn and share in their congregations. We have achieved warmth and koinonía where we worry not only of the academics but also to share and receive pastoral care with each participant. Let us pray for each leader and pastor that comes, participates, reflects, debates, and applies what is studied. Let us pray for the impact to the extension of the Kingdom of these bimonthly sessions. One of them wrote to us: “I give thanks to the Lord for placing servants like you in my path. With brethren like you He supplies abundantly my need to learn from His word.” Thanks for making it possible for us to be in Spain as the Lord’s instruments to bless this family in the faith we partner with. Some of these are Emilio Cobo (from Spain) and Francisco Reyes (from Honduras) who travel the farthest from La Vall D’Uixó to Dénia (162 km/100 miles) to enjoy and share. We will continue to introduce each of these participants throughout the semester, as we continue to meet the families…

A moment to pray…
On Sunday 9, we prayed for our brothers and sisters in south Sudan and their referendum. We prayed for the families in Nigeria that lost loved ones killed on Christmas Eve and in Egypt as 2011 begun. Today, Tuesday 11 we stopped to pray with the Not For Sale Campaign, an initiative on the Human Trafficking Awareness Day sponsored by our American Baptist Women Ministries. So much pain and destruction around us… Thanks for allowing so many missionary units to be in different countries to show the love and hope that only our Father can offer.
