July was a busy month for us as we were blessed by having two youth groups here – one from Columbus, OH and the other from Champaign, IL.  It is exciting to see young men and women from our churches in the United States who have decided to experience God by working here for one week.  Participating on a mission and experiencing new things is one of the best ways to spend part of summer vacation.  During their stay here, the group from Columbus, OH blessed us by painting the multi-purpose building and helping with construction on the Sunday school classrooms.  They also served the meals to the children in the feeding program.  The feeding program was a great blessing to the youth – to see a smile and get a hug from one of these children really touches one’s heart.  The youth group had the opportunity to share a bag of food with the children who then took it back home.  The feeding program children are from an extremely poor area of Azacualpa and for them to bring home a bag full of food meant a lot to them and their families.

The youth group from Champaign, IL was able to visit two public schools close to the children’s home.  During their visits to the schools they presented the Gospel message through skits, dances, and dramas.  The students greatly enjoyed the presentations.  We thank God that in Honduras we have the liberty to present the Gospel in public places!  In the afternoons, they were busy with bible school where the feeding program children learned about God’s armor of Truth.  They also enjoyed making crafts that they were able to take home.  Each day the children were happy to learn about the Word of God.  The Champaign group had the privilege to be here during the inauguration of the well which the Rotary Club from Champaign, IL and San Pedro Sula funded.  We give glory to God because soon we will be able to connect the whole children’s home plumbing system to the well!

The groups also have some time for fun with the children and teenagers that live here at the home.  There is a water park in Azacualpa? Yes!  A time to swim and have some relaxation after a week of work is always fun.

We would like to thank our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as the churches who have collaborated and supported us financially and with prayers for this ministry.  Glory be to God who day by day pours His blessings on us!
