3 of 7: Elche, the southeastern workshop…
We slept at the parsonage on Friday night where we were greeted by old friends, for the first time at their church. Saturday was to be a daylong workshop with folks from their 18 churches and mission-churches. They warned us not to expect lots of people for in the past they could have as few as 8-10 attendees. To their surprise (and our joy!) more than 50 attendees showed up!!!
     We had three sections of two hours each where we shared the basics of marriage, family, and education from the biblical, Judeo-Christian perspective, as well as some communication tools. God had a captive audience as He used us to share from our heart the importance to strengthen our marriages, families, and education to have stronger congregations.
     We praise the Lord and are grateful for your having us here in Spain serving alongside these families of faith who struggle to live out their faith and serve the communities that surround them. Join us as we pray for the region’s leadership and for each of these congregations in their ministries.


3 de 7: Elche, el taller del sureste…
Dormimos en la casa pastoral el viernes donde nos recibieron viejos amigos, por primera vez en su iglesia. El sábado 4 tendríamos el taller de todo el día con personas de las 18 iglesias y misiones del sureste. Nos advirtieron no esperar multitudes pues habían llegado a tener 8-10 participantes. Para su sorpresa (¡y nuestro gozo!) llegaron más de ¡¡¡50 personas!!!
     Tuvimos tres secciones de dos horas cada una compartiendo principios básicos de matrimonio, familia y educación desde la perspectiva bíblico-judeo-cristiana, así como algunas herramientas de comunicaciones. Dios tuvo una audiencia cautiva al usarnos para compartir desde nuestro corazon cuán importante es que fortalezcamos nuestros matrimonios, familias y educación para tener congregaciones fuertes.
     Alabamos al Señor y te agradecemos por tenernos en España sirviendo junto a estas familias en la fe que luchan para vivir su fe y servir las comunidades que les rodean. Ora con nosotros por el liderato de la región y por cada congregación y sus ministerios.
