4 of 7: Elche, a church that doesn’t fit…
We slept a second night at the parsonage on Saturday night after our day’s workshop. We had been blessed to share the evening meal with the ladies who had cooked the paella for lunch (they had not had the opportunity to be at the workshop). What a delightful opportunity to meet these who are the Martha’s who the Mary’s within, at Jesus’ feet, serving with such joy and commitment that we were humbled with their love and care.
     After a refreshing night, we shared at their Sunday school where they are dedicating the month of February to use that time for community prayer. The sanctuary filled up to the top and we were ready to leave our seats to others. This church doesn’t fit the floods of people that come! The service included communion… what a joy to share the Lord’s Table together. We shared the Word and were blessed to see 6 new believers accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and 5 others commit to His service. God’s Word never returns void.
     Join us as we pray for these new believers and these who are committing to His service, and for Pastor Pedro as he and the leaders provide the discipleship. The heavens and all of us in Elche rejoice for God’s faithfulness. We know you rejoice with us too…


4 de 7: Elche, una iglesia que no cabe…
Dormimos una segunda noche en la casa pastoral el sábado después del día de taller. Qué bendición compartir la cena con las hermanas que cocinaron la paella para el almuerzo/comida (ellas no habían podido estar en el taller). Tuvimos una oportunidad invaluable de conocer a las Martas con corazones de Marías, a los pies de Jesús, mientras que sirven con tanto gozo y compromiso lo que nos sobrecogió por su amor y cuidados.
     Tras una noche reparadora, compartimos en la escuela dominical que en el mes de febrero esta dedicada a la oración comunitaria. El santuario se llenó a tope y estábamos listos a ofrecer nuestros asientos a otros. ¡Esta iglesia no cabe de tanta gente que llega! El culto incluyó la comunión. Qué privilegio compartir la mesa del Señor juntos. Compartimos la Palabra y fuimos bendecidos al ver 6 nuevos creyentes aceptar a Jesús como Señor y Salvador y otras 5 personas comprometerse a Su servicio. Su Palabra nunca vuelve vacía.
     Ora con nosotros por estos nuevos creyentes y quienes dedicaron sus vidas en servicio y por su Pastor Pedro mientras él y el liderato proveen el discipulado. Los cielos y todos nosotros en Elche nos gozamos con la fidelidad de Dios. Sabemos que tú también…
