Greetings from Águas Claras (literally “clear waters”) near Brasília, our new home.  Our classes at the JAMI missionary training center in Belo Horizonte are now over, and we’re gearing up for our next adventure.

Our new projects for the National Baptist Convention of Brazil are well under way, and this week we’ll attend a national gathering of pastors in nearby Caldas Novas.  We have been working hard to prepare promotional materials for the Leadership and Ministry Development program and the Integral Mission Network that we have been asked to develop and lead.  We’ll make our first official presentation about those ministries during the conference.  Pray for us!  Our deep desire is that God would use these ministries to strengthen the Body of Christ so that churches become agents of transformation and hope in their communities here in Brazil.

The other day, Tiago and Luciana told us they are so excited about the possibility of starting an English worship service at the church we’ve been attending.  Many young people in Brasil are anxious to learn English, almost a necessity in today’s globalized world.  Pr. José Carlos invited us to begin this ministry as a way to reach out to young people in the community.  We pray that God will use the music, the message and the fellowship to introduce young people to Jesus and the transforming power of the gospel.

Thanks for your support that makes this possible!
