Giving God The Glory
Several weeks ago
I was surprised by the earlier than usual changing color of the burning bushes.
It meant fall was on its way. The colors
of the autumn season are what I look forward to. Once, while I was commuting to
and from seminary, on one particular stretch of road I found myself worshiping,
inspired by the beauty of the landscape on both sides of the highway. Countless trees covered with yellow, orange,
red and even brown stood tall with their branches spreading out and waving to
the Creator God whenever the wind blew.
The spectacular view was to my imagination a majestic troop of almighty
God's army.
Looking back over
the past three months of summer break, there are several praise reports from a Bible study group that I was
hosting at the campus student residential complex. The majority of those who
attend are the family of the international students. Many reported increased faith, wanting to
know Christ more and attending more Christian gatherings for worship and Bible
studies. One sister was thankful for regaining the weight lost from anxiety and
depression, fearing adjustment to her new retirement. At the last meeting
before she went back to her country, she gave the praise to the Lord and the
following testimony,
“This is the most remarkable trip
for me. I came here to visit my son. Before I came, I was so frightened that I
lost weight for months. I was like a
wandering sailboat not knowing where to dock.
After I came I heard the gospel, read the Bible, and now I know this
Jesus. He gives me light, hope and saves me from sin and life's distress. Within two months, He made flesh come upon
me. Now I have a joyful spirit, and I will take this God with me as the Lord,
when I go back to my home.”
That was my first
time to hear her testimony and my last time to see her. I was deeply moved by
her story. Praise and glory to the Lord.
He is able to save and His loving kindness endures forever.
There are many
brothers and sisters whom we would like to thank for supporting us in prayers
and finances which help us hold the faith and move forward with sharing the
good news, encouraging others and sharing God's vision for Macau,
September 7
through 16, we will visit churches in Kansas City, KS. Please pray for the
people who are preparing the meetings, for those who will receive God's vision
and for our travel safety.
We thank you with all of our hearts.
