New Life Center Mentioned in Forbes Article
Happy New Year!
The New Life Center in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai recently received a brief mention in the following interview in Forbes magazine. I thought you might be interested in reading it. The interviewee, Siddharth Kara, came to visit the New Life Center some years ago while he was doing research for his book, Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery. This outstanding, balanced and very readable book published in November, 2008 chronicles Kara's research on the topic of trafficking and examines some of the economic drivers behind this lucrative industry. Kara is now one of the world's foremost experts on human trafficking. I highly recommend his book for anyone interested in this field. The last story in the book is about a New Life Center resident.
