You Can Help Bring Hope to Our South African Neighbors
October greetings! It was a busy but enjoyable summer for me
with travel to the International Ministries All-Staff Gathering and World
Mission Conference, a training workshop, and speaking engagements. I am
enjoying the sunny days and hoping that the New England weather remains warm
well into the fall season.
Around this time of year, you may hear of the World Mission
Offering (WMO), one of four major offerings taken by American Baptist Churches.
The WMO directly supports the work of International Ministries and can be
directed toward the support of a specific missionary.
Almost 2,000 years ago, the Apostle Paul saw a vision of a
man saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
Today, that same call is being echoed all over the world—from
Myanmar and Brazil to South Africa and Macau. International partners worldwide
are requesting the assistance of International Ministries missionaries.
Just as Paul and his fellow believers immediately looked for
ways to respond to his God-given vision, you can assist International
Ministries in rising to the challenge of sending missionaries to our partners
throughout the world through your generous support of the World Mission Offering.
The World Mission Offering is International Ministries’ primary
national offering for general funds to recruit new missionaries, sustain
current missionaries, and provide support for international partners and
programs.
When you give generously to the World Mission Offering, your
gift plays a vital role in sending out missionaries and development workers all
over the world.
Join us in helping others Come to Christ, Grow in their relationships with God, and Change their worlds through the power of the Spirit!
