Sierra Community Church, a young Rwandan organization aiming to build strong and sustainable communities and local churches, offers an opportunity for a person with training and experience in development to join them in serving people and communities traumatized by experiences of violence and genocide.  This global servant will assist in identifying and implementing social and economic development projects and securing funding through writing grant applications and establishing relationships with funding agencies.  He or she will train, equip and mentor a Rwandan to continue this work when the IM global servant moves on to another task.  Persons considering this opportunity should have education and experience, preferably with a Christian organization, in social work, community development, economics, business administration, agriculture or related fields.  Current proficiency in or willingness to learn the French language is recommended.
