Friends,

Kari and I are so happy to tell you all that a new little boy has arrived!  Isaiah St. John Davidson was born on May 31, 11:53 PM (Japan Time), and (8 lb. 10 oz.).  He and Kari are both doing well--Praise God!

Isaiah was born in Tojo Women's Clinic here in Yokohama, and as a family, we were able to experience a whole new aspect of "the real Japan."  Moms at the clinic spend five days after the babies are born doing all sorts of things together--nursing the babies together, going to the exam room together, taking "mothering classes" and washing the babies together...  Families waiting for those few precious minutes when the baby room window is opened so they can see, if not touch, the new little family member...  The huge meals of rice and broiled fish and miso soup!

And soon we'll be back to our "normal" life with our new little guy.  Please keep us in your prayers.
