We're celebrating, that thanks to people like you and the Luther Rice Society (LRS) matching gift fund, 100% of the support we needed to raise was achieved for the fiscal year that just ended on September 30, 2009. Thank you for giving so generously!!
We also sincerely thank you for praying and supporting us and our various ministries with the Hill Tribes in Northern Thailand. These include large village projects such as schools, churches, clinics, village children sponsorships, and Arabica coffee production.
Right now IM pays for our housing, education for our kids and continuing education opportunities for us. They cover our taxes, passage between Thailand and the USA, our truck, and critically important Ministry Funds. Because of the recession, the forecast is that the World Mission Offering will be considerably lower this fall and that means income to International Ministries drops as a result. It may surprise you to know that none of the funds that go directly to ministry projects are used for our personal support.
Our Missionary Partnership Team works very hard to help raise the remainder of our support which includes our salary, medical insurance and retirement benefits. Our new fiscal year has begun (Oct. 1) and this time, we won't have the Luther Rice Society matching funds to help our MPT reach 100% of their goal for our personal support. We need many more individuals who can give to the support of our ministry on a monthly basis. You can give either directly through International Ministries or through your church.
Your personal support makes it possible to do all of the amazing ministries God has helped us start and sustain with our partners in Thailand. This is a ministry of faith, and we believe the Lord will sustain it through partners like you!
