It has been a busy summer with lots of activities and a number of guests. In May we hosted twelve American Baptist American Baptist Women with members of the Hiroshima Peace ChurchWomen who were participating in the Japan Mission Encounter Tour. They had dinner at the Hiroshima Peace Church (Hiroshima Preaching Place) where they were able to fellowship with some of the members of the church. The next morning we went to the Hiroshima Peace Park and in the afternoon to Miyajima, a famous sightseeing spot.

In July, Michael Hernandez, a youth from the Stilwell Baptist Members Of The Xtreme Team Participating In The Praise WorshipChurch, Kansas, spent two weeks participating in various activities of the Hiroshima Peace Church.During the time that he was there, the Japan Xtreme Team came to Hiroshima. They participated in a Praise Worship and dinner at the Hiroshima Peace Church and then spent the next day at the Hiroshima Peace Park.

In August Beth Sakurai, a teacher at Soshin Gakuin, visited me.She had a testimony and solo at the Hiroshima Peace Church. Then we toured some of the other churches in the Naikai Area.Shinobu Fujimoto, a seminary student at the Japan Baptist Seminary, spent the last two weeks in August doing practical ministry at the Hiroshima Peace Church. In addition to preaching at two services, leading a Bible study, giving her testimony at the Praise Worship, and having a children's story, she had several study sessions to help children with their summer homework.

During the summer the Church School of the Hiroshima Peace Church had an overnight camp, an overnight stay at the church, and a fishing trip.It seems like it has been a busy summer. But as we participate in these activities we are given an opportunity to witness to God's love for all of us.

In His love,
