Once again we look back at the past 12 months and just say, “Thank you God for good health, jobs, friends and love of family to share and enjoy.” Last year as I planned to go home for a long break I was praying that someone will come to work at the Kwai River Christian Hospital (KRCH) to help while I’m away.  Sophitta worked with me before I went home, and I was really encouraged to see her at work, putting her God-given leadership skills to use as a manager of the hospital.

Now we are busy preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of KRCH this 5th of February 2010 and expecting not all but most past directors, staff, old friends and patients of the hospital to be able to attend this celebration.

At first we were worried not to be able to find doctors, nurses, a lab tech and a pharmacist in order to renew the hospital license. But thanks be to God for His faithfulness. I know God is in control of everything.

As I was meditating on the verse in Romans 8:28, God used it to remind me that He was working mightily. Sure enough, as I put my trust in the Lord, God not only intervened but He blessed us with supernatural answer to prayer.

Yes, we can praise Him in spite of challenges we are facing these days – preparing new leaders for the future, finding more doctors and other staff. There is always a need for wisdom to make wise decisions as challenges come, even in the current project that I’m handling.  I appreciate your prayers as we try to reduce the Tuberculosis morbidity among non-Thai migrants in six border and adjacent provinces.
