A few Saturdays ago marked a big milestone in Thayan’s life: he graduated from law school and walked the aisle in cap and gown!  (Thayan is the brother of Nayana, currently studying in South Carolina.).   Thayan concluded law school in April, but did not walk the aisle until just a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, he had been preparing for the Brazilian BAR exam, via a special prep course. He took the BAR on Sunday, Sep 26.

 We doubt he will pass the first time (hard even for our rich friends from expensive schools), but pray for a miracle, or that he at least learns a lot for a future attempt!

Thayan is married to Hope Graduate Aline. Together they have a BEAUTIFUL baby daughter named Evelyn. Thayan is on the leadership team at his church, Central Presbyterian, and very close to the Pastor there.

Thayan works as a legal aid at the federal courthouse, which he loves, having been promoted from the municipal and then state courts.  He plans to run for City Council in 2012.  I think he stands a chance.
