The Commissioning Service of Ivy and Emerson Wu was well attended by the members of the Karl Road Baptist Church in Columbus Ohio, their partnership team, and representatives from ABC Ohio, ABW in Ministry, other AB and Chinese churches.

Ivy and Emerson are busy packing and saying good-bye to friends. They leave for San Francisco on August 29 to spend a few days with their children Jack and Jessica, before they fly to Hong Kong on September 4.

The Wus will stay in the Mission Apartment in Hong Kong for Cantonese language study and orientation while they wait for the approval of the Macau worker’s visa.

My Special Assistant Rev. David Wong will go to Hong Kong and help them with the visit of Swatow Baptist churches in Hong Kong. During this time, Ivy and Emerson can visit partners in Macau. (Macau is an hour from Hong Kong by speed ferry.) They can move to Macau and start serving as IM Development Workers and staff of the Macau Bible Institute. Please remember their transition, language study and orientation in your prayers.
