For Americans, Thanksgiving Day is a special time to focus on gratefulness. I have found from living overseas as a missionary, the truth of Philemon 1:4 “I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers.” I am indeed thankful for each person who supports me in the work here in Thailand through both finances and prayer. The children join me in nightly worship times in thanking God for each individual and church who care for us. I am grateful!
Our House of Love (HOL) students enjoyed two different weekend church camps. One was in conjunction with other Christian children’s homes, and our students had good times of interaction with kids who have also lost their parents. The other was sponsored by the church that our kids attend. At both, new friendships formed—a real praise!
The CDPD has 4 blind students at the school for the blind in Chiang Mai who would like to attend church weekly, but need a ride. Would you please pray as we make contacts with churches who might be able to help with rides, or pray for someone to weekly pay for a taxi to ferry the students back and forth.
Two of our House of Blessing (HOB) classes were able to spend a fun day at the zoo. We love learning opportunities like this! All of the students are now working on their Christmas program songs in anticipation of the program they will do in December for their parents and other guests. Please pray for the teachers as this is extra work.
I have had a month of visitors and travel—wonderful times, but I need to catch up in several areas. Please pray for me to be focused as I attend to needed personal tasks.
This past month I spent 2 weeks in Mae Sariang at the Christian Center for the Development of People with Disabilities (CDPD) and I wanted to share with you some of the special moments in the attached pictures.
