Dios Te Bendiga! (God Bless You!)

Support Raising:

We are so blessed by the supporters and prayer partners we have for our missionary calling to the Dominican Republic and Cuba.  This Christmas and January were a reminder of why our Missionary Partnership Network is important.  Many of you wrote us notes and sent us cards and gifts that really lifted our spirits and encouraged us.  We all have been so blessed by your love and support.

We are introducing a "Calendar of Prayer and Support" in this journal.

Each day represents at least one donor giving at least that day's value each month on that day.  So if you pick the 7th, then on the 7th of each month you would pray for us and donate at least $7.

Help us fill in all 28 days with new individuals, Bible study groups, and/or women’s circles. We would love to have this calendar full by the end of the month! Even if a day has already been chosen, please don't let that stop you from choosing it. Any day can be adopted multiple times. Every dollar makes a difference!

You can set up automatic monthly withdrawals here (just make sure you choose the date you want to give and the reoccurring option). If you decide to give by mail, please message us the day and amount so we can add you to the calendar.

Please prayerfully consider becoming one of the new supporters.  This new campaign will be as successful as your participation in it.

Our Trip to Cuba:

As promised, here is an update on the Cuba trip.  First, thank you to those who responded and sent in support to help offset our start-up fees (including this trip).  We still need a lot of one-time donations to help meet that expense, and we are continuing to see God's faithfulness and timing in raising our support.

Second, I was able to talk with Rev. Carlos Peralta, the leader of the trip to Cuba in April.  He leads a ministry to Hispanic pastors and their families in the USA and Latin America.  Our purpose on this trip is to build relationships with one of the four Baptist conventions in Cuba.  We will be visiting several churches, preaching, teaching, and hosting an event for the pastors and their families.  I am really exited about his opportunity.  The purpose of this trip and the concept of ministry that I will be doing in Cuba are very similar.  It is great to see God at work in our lives like this.  We will be going into Havana and working with la Fraternidad Bautista.  The trip will be from April 11 - 19.

Prayer:

Finally, please continue to keep us in your prayers.  Sarah and I enjoyed our first ever getaway (we never even took a honeymoon) for our 15th wedding anniversary on January 18.  It was such  blessing to spend time together and alone for a few days.  Sarah has informed me that we need to do this more often.
