The Evangelical Free Baptist Churches of Burundi has asked International Ministries to seek doctors, nurse practitioners, or nurses -- to serve at the Kayanza Medical Center, which opened in the fall of 2015. In order to compliment and not compete with existing medical centers, Kayanza seeks to specialize in the areas of ophthalmology and imagery, as well as surgery and pediatrics.  Certification as a registered nurse or more advanced medical certification is required, along with prior clinical and/or public health experience.  Also needed are experienced ophthalmologist, surgeons, pediatrician, and a specialist in imagery.  Administrative skills would also be a valuable asset supporting the launch of this new ministry. Mission opportunities could be available for a spouse at the Health Center or in a nearby Bible School. Volunteers would serve 3-6 months, shorter term negotiable.  Vocational personnel also needed!!

Volunteer Missionary April Crothers served in Burundi from October 2015 through January 2016.  Read her update here and her final report here.
