My dining room has become my mission preparation office, and central to space is the "war board." So, what is a war board, well it's my 24 x 36 white board that is a long listing of all the mission-related task that I need to attend to.

One of the major task on this to do list was creating my support team formally known as the Mission Partner Team (MPT). The MPT brings together a group of friends with the gifts and skills needed to mobilize  and  support  my ministry in Hungary. So, on Saturday my friends and I gathered with Ruthie Stephenson, the MPT coordinator and  area director, Charles Jones to have our initial organizing meeting.  The agenda said we were going to clarify relationships and responsibilities of the MPT.  But that sounds so dry, and it was anything but.

I brought in the war board and all of the working tools- thank you cards, stamps,  camera, selfie-stick, a list of potential contacts, and my computer - as show and tell.  These  dominate my dining room table,  along with my Hungarian bible and coins which remind me that I am trusting God's faithfulness.  We each shared our spiritual biographies, how we developed a heart for missions and the gifts and skills we bring to this mission.

We united around these 4 overall task: administrative, spiritual, communication and  technology  with a sense of commitment, joy and anticipation.  The team spirit manifested itself in the joint effort to transform our meeting space back to a Sunday school classroom.
