The Product Development Manager strategizes and coordinates product development projects such as the design of new jewelry lines and the development of new apparel and accessories. He or she will evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, budgetary restrictions, design optimization, and production issues.  He or she will research and monitor existing client base and industry developments, and identify potential new product opportunities. This individual facilitates discussion between staff in the U.S. and Thailand to establish a design and product development strategy, and manages project budgets and pricing strategies that optimize sales in each target market. Business degree or experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures is expected. Great judgment, time management skills, project management, and cross-cultural relational skills are necessary. This person must be able to lead and direct the work of others with grace and accountability and must be a self-starter. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position regularly reports to top management. This is a volunteer, long-term position; the applicant must provide his or her own support for travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred.
