Livelihood and Marketing Assistant Needed in the Philippines (Vocational or Volunteer)

Samaritana Transformation Ministries, Inc., in Manila, the Philippines, serves women who are either at risk for or coming out of prostitution. The ministry is seeking a Livelihood and Marketing assistant.

The Livelihood and Marketing Assistant will contribute to the vision of Samaritana by providing support to the livelihood programs of Samaritana, including but not limited to design and product development of various livelihood crafts (currently including handmade greeting cards, jewelry and sewing), training women in the production of these crafts, improving production and inventory systems and marketing the crafts produced.

This position is available to qualified volunteers and vocational candidates for with terms of 1 - 5 years.

Required:
Bachelor’s Degree. Helpful courses for this position include business management, industrial engineering and fine arts.

Experience:
Three to five years experience is required. English language is required. Tagalog language is preferred.

Candidates should demonstrate high proficiency in written and spoken English; be a self-motivated self-starter and a team player; and have a servant attitude, flexibility, resourcefulness, a strong design aesthetic, arts and crafts skills and business acumen.
