¡Feliz Navidad! - Picture by Clara Mullins
In this time of the year when we remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as God’s greatest gift of love, we are delighted to share with you that our family is expanding! On this initial phase of our missionary journey to Chiapas, we are thrilled to add each one of you to our family! It’s been a joy to know we have sisters and brothers in Christ from West Virginia, Colorado, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, California, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wyoming fervently praying and generously giving to bless with the gospel the people of Chiapas.
As we travel to share the story of our call, not only do we get to share a
passion for God’s mission with all of you but we’ve also become aware of your
love for the people of Chiapas. We’ve met many of you with a previous
commitment to God’s people and work in Chiapas. Many have already been
there! Others are learning about Chiapas and have made a commitment to pray and
give. For that we are very thankful.
Building our support network is both challenging and rewarding. It is
challenging because when we see our support goal, we realized that we cannot do
it without your prayers and support and let alone without God’s grace and
favor. It is rewarding because we enjoy writing thank you cards and emails,
responding to emails and phone calls, providing updates in social media, and so
on. But the most satisfying has been developing relationships with each
one of our partners and praying for you.
We’ve had the honor and privilege to be trusted to pray for parents grieving
their children – born and unborn –, for health issues, adoption processes,
retirement processes and much more. Thank you for your love and passion to
serve God even amid the challenges you face.
It’s been a blessing to meet amazing people with
incredibly generous hearts who inspire us to keep trusting our Heavenly Father.
Your commitment, generosity and faithfulness to God’s mission will
enable us to share Christ’s hope, peace, joy, and love with the people of
Chiapas.
We wish you “Feliz Navidad” and a wonderful 2017!
With much gratitude,
Denise & Juan (Ziba and Juancito, too)
