The Christian Center for the Development of People with Disabilities (CDPD) in Mae Sariang, Thailand needs a carpenter/builder to serve from 2 weeks to 6 months, building toilets and ramps for people with disabilities.  The volunteer is also requested to help find funding to build toilet, ramp and water pipeline, and also may be asked to make house adaptations for handicap accessibility.

The volunteer is welcome to stay from 2 weeks to 6 months.  

Housing will be provided by CDPD, volunteer must provide all their expenses outside of housing.   If the volunteer stays for 30 days, only a tourist visa is required.  If longer than 30 days, then a Non-Immigrant “O” Visa is required.

The volunteer must be in good health, have flexibility, and have the ability to work with others. Must have at least 1 – 2 years experience in carpentry , be hard-working, and patient. Some knowledge of Thai and hill tribe culture would be helpful.
