Wednesday morning a 6.0 earthquake centered in Petit Goave, Haiti was felt as far north as Limbé.  Dr. Steve James reports that the team at Christianville is safe and at last report was on his way to check on the stock of medical supplies in the clinic.

On Tuesday, January 19, Steve and Arch met with the Christianville team and were asked to stay a few more days. They agreed and are now scheduled to return to Limbé on Saturday, January 23. Steve and Arch saw about 85 people on Tuesday.  As expected there were multiple cases of broken bones and trauma as well as the usual sicknesses and accident victims.  Another doctor arrived by helicopter from the Dominican Republic.

Prayer requests:

        1. For Nancy to be able to sleep and rest at night

2. For Steve, Arch, and Roy and Nurse Sherely as they treat the sick and injured at the Christianville clinic.

        3. For Muiller as he drives from Limbé to Christianville on Saturday to pick up the medical team and deliver food supplies to the Christianville clinic.

4. For homeless Haitians moving north to escape the destruction in Port-au-Prince and seeking a place to stay.

“Our faith kicks in when there is a crisis, our spiritual senses are sharpened, and we do have joyous moments throughout the day.”
