Scott writes:  Between ministry, involvement in the Family Learning Center building project-the school where our children attend, and juggling all the things that go on with three teenagers in the house, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind around here.   I must say though, God has been wonderful to us and we continue to be blessed.  A life of service to God – if that is what you call ours – has been a life of blessing.  

 Praises:

• After 18 months of initiating a funding support program for our local ethnic minority partner organizations (who actually represent work in three countries), MMF held a partner meeting last week.  It went so well.  Our partners represent several varied groups of local ministries that are trying to make a difference in their communities.  Some have programs for migrant workers, while others bring the gospel to the unreached of their people group.  Still others have organized to cooperate across denominational lines.  
• The long process of planning, designing, submitting for government approval, and fielding bids for the construction of the Family Learning Center’s first school building on the new property is just about to see real action.  The ground-breaking worship and dedication service for the start of the construction will be in October.  

 Please Pray:

·        That as MMF grows in its ability to provide financial support to local indigenous ministries and interventions in the Mekong Sub region, that the poorest will be empowered and people’s lives will be changed.  And we pray that if this is God’s will, we will see new donors who want to support the efforts of people at the grassroots.   

·        For MMF’s leadership as we may see some changes in the near future.   I am hoping that I can step down to a support role while others can step up to take the helm.   

·        That the Family Learning Center will receive the remaining US$200,000 that needs to be raised for us to move into our new school facility.
