One of Japan Baptist Union church members in Rifu (near Sendai) reported that his mother was missing after the tsunami (for four days).  But we learn that he could find her at one of the emergency evacuate places this afternoon.  He is now filled with joy that his mom is fine and could take her back to his house which did not get any damage.

Thank you for your prayers.  God is really working in Japan because you are praying for Japan.

Dear friends,

As you may already heard, Fukushima power plant had another explosion this morning.  They have 8 plants and 3 of them already had exploded.  Other 5 are also in a dangerous condition.  The news this morning was saying that Tokyo Electrical Company had 800 workers there to try to keep the core of the nuclear power plants until yesterday.  But, after the second major explosion, the company moved 750 of them out of there (they evacuated to the “20 km away” safe zone).  There are now only fifty of them stay there to work hard to keep the cores cool down.

The challenge they are facing is that earthquakes keep shaking the ground every hour and every time ground starts shaking they have to leave because another tsunami could hit the plant.  So, these explosions happened when they had to leave the work place because of tsunami warning.

Japanese government keeps telling the radiation rate is not too dangerous level (which must be true “at this point”) but they are not giving any information or warning “if other explosion happens what kind of risk for the people in that area would be.  Tokyo is about 250 km from Fukushima power plant and the rate of radiation is higher than normal.

Just before I sent out this mail, I checked the latest information and it says there is  another fire at the plant and it is becoming more serious condition.

Please keep praying for Japan.
