Thank you all for your prayers!

Rev. Tanno, Rev. Tamura and Gordon made it to Shokei at 4 am. They slept a little and then visited Shiogama, Tagajo, Shichigahama, Matsushima and Nishikyori churches. He called last night from Nishikyori church to say they were staying there for the night.

Praise God there are pastors and churches to visit!
Praise God for safe passage!
Praise God for the ability to drive to these places. Gordon wrote via cell phone that they were stuck in traffic jams on the way to at least two of the places. Praise God that Gordon is able to take video interviews and photos to share with us so we would be able to support our brothers and sisters better in this time of crisis.
Praise God that there is food and electricity for some. He had packed up food for the 2 days but he wrote to say he got tempura soba for dinner! We didn't pack that!!
Praise God that there are no children at the evacuation center he will visit today. He brought balloons for children and gave them to the kindergarten because he found out there are no children at this particular evacuation site.

Please continue to pray for the people in the north. Gordon said the tempurature was around freezing last night.

Please pray that the team will be able to visit the remaining churches and schools and the evacuation site today. Pray for speedy travel around Sendai that they could spend more time with the people instead of sitting in the car.

Please pray for a timely return to Tokyo today. Trains and buses stop running around midnight and Tokyo is too far to come home via taxi.

Pray for all the God appointments they will have. May God empower His people in this time of crisis to shine and share His message of hope!

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for your prayers that have given Gordon courage and the conviction to do this. Thank you for your prayers for our family. We are calm. Thank you, too, for the prayers that have kept the radiation problems at bay, the electricity on and food in the stores.

much love,

Lee Ann
