Integrated Ministries for Ethnic Minorities Foundation (IMEMF)

Prayer and Praise for May, 2013

I know my last 2 newsletters have focused on graduations, andI hope you have enjoyed the photos and obvious joy as we have celebrated each individual. I love to see the educational success of the ethnic minority children God has brought to the IMEMF projects!  The doors that have been opened to each one’s life are incredible to see, and I am so grateful for each donor and prayer partner who have been a part of these successes!  BUT the time to celebrate is over—now the work begins again!  May’s prayer points mostly focus on a new school year, and I do hope you enjoy praying without ceasing for our students!

·         School is about ready to open again at the Christian Center for the Development of People with Disabilities (CDPD).  Please be praying for the preparations necessary for all the staff.

·         Our House of Blessing (HOB) staff will be welcoming 41 students when school starts in early May.  Please pray for a good start to their school year.

·         Our HOL kids will be starting school sometime from mid-May to the beginning of June—and 19 of our students will be at new schools!  Will you please pray for the orientation process at the 11 schools as well as for good adjustments that will be a part of our new school year?

·         One big change for me personally—Da, the first child who was a part of the start of our HOL family, will be attending Bible school in Phayao, about 4 hours from here.  I am thrilled she is able to pursue her dream of studying the Bible, but it will be different not have her living at the HOL.

·         Praise God!  The House of Love (HOL) welcomed a team of 16 from OH in early April.  Many on the team had visited before, and it was wonderful to see the kids reconnect with these friends.  I especially appreciate having the continuity of Christian men and women pouring truth into our youth!  The teaching and testimonies were encouraging, and I hope you enjoy the photos of some of our special times together.

·         We praise God for the safe visits that our HOL kids were able to have with relatives.  About ½ were able to spend part of the hot season break away with extended family.

·         And please continue praying for our House of Blessing (HOB) teacher, Khruu Rae, who lost a child in early April.  Physically she has recovered, but the emotional healing is naturally an on-going process.

·         I have scheduled a 3 month home assignment starting in September.  Would you join me in praying for all the details this trip will entail?  Your ministry of prayer in my life and the lives of all the ethnic minority children here is invaluable—thank you.

The photos are from the camp that was held from April 2-9.  I hope you have a glimpse of what the week was like.
