Welcome to IMEMF!

As you come through the gate, you will see the parking area, office building, and women’s apartments to the left, and the House of Love girls’ dorm to the right. Straight ahead (to the back of the property) is the rice fields—newly harvested. The fish p

When I swing the camera to the right, the dining room area, House of Blessing and playground all come in the camera’s view. You can also see the lighted basketball court that is one of the favorite places for our youth!

The women’s apartments are in a very simple building that has separate rooms for the 4 women who live there. What a blessing to provide this for women who have no family to care for them!

Here is our main building. The House of Love girls use the second floor. The ground floor houses our library, computer room, study area, and IMEMF offices.

Here is a picture from one of the girls’ dorm rooms—3 girls share this simple, but bright and airy room. Daily, our HOL family gives thanks for such a safe and beautiful place to live.

We knew we would need extra bathrooms when we hosted events like our family Christmas, and we built this community bathroom behind the main dining area.
My heart is heavy with a special prayer request. I am so thankful for the good health of our House of Love family for so long, but we have started the new year out with one of our students in fragile health, in the hospital on a ventilator. Attached is a picture of Daw Song taken this fall. She and her sister Duan came to the HOL as children 11 years ago. Now 22, she is no longer considered a pediatric patient, we are only allowed to visit from 12-1pm and 3-6pm each day. Otherwise, she is alone (she is on an eight bed ward—but no one is able to talk to the other patients because of the medical limitations.) Pray for her to have good enough health to return home. Please pray for me as well—because Daw and her sister Duan have no other blood relatives, she relies heavily on me. And please also pray for Duan as she tries to support her sister. To God be the glory.
Daw Song Update from Kim Brown - January 14, 2014
I so appreciate the prayers of those who had responded to my request for prayer for one of our House of Love family, Daw Song. Daw went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, Thai time. We were able to have a worship service at the HOL with the HOL family and other friends on Sunday evening in memorial of her life. Please continue to pray for Duan, Daw’s sister, in this time of loss as well as for our HOL family as we grieve.
· The Christian Center for the Development of People with Disabilities (CDPD) enjoyed a very different Christmas celebration with the government and community projects joining in for seminars and a fun fair. We are thankful for good relationships that the CDPD staff have within their community. To God be the glory.
· A new year—and new celebrations! When I was in the US this fall, some of you had asked me to put up-to-date pictures of our facilities in one of my newsletters. This month marks the 4th anniversary of our house opening, and I thought this would be a wonderful time to express our appreciation once again for those of you who made these facilities possible through your gifts and prayers. I hope you enjoy the digital visit to our wonderful property! To God be the glory!
