Although not a graduate—many of you have asked how Da is doing—here is a picture from a visit at her school. She is thriving!
This past month, we have celebrated many graduations, both at the House of Blessing and at the House of Love. I don’t use the word “celebrate” lightly either—as the milestone of graduation is one that opens doors of opportunities for the ethnic minority students here. Whether it is our 5 and 6 year olds who now have a way to start 1st grade in the Thai system, or our 2nd college graduate finding a teaching job, we praise God for each person working to make their dreams reality! Thank you for your prayers and financial support that makes pursuing education possible for our students.
Our House of Love (HOL) family is eagerly looking forward to a camp with friends from Hope for the Hilltribes. Please pray for details and for good learning as we interact.
The House of Blessing (HOB) graduated 15 students in March, and all of these have plans to continue into Thai schools in May. Pray for our teachers as they facilitate the entry into a new school system (which is daunting any time—but moreso with language barriers for many parents.)
Thank you for praying for the Finland proposal that Khun Saylo and I worked on for many hours—and please pray that the government would approve our request. I would ask continued prayer for the Christian Center for the Development of People with Disabilities (CDPD) as we look for additional funding sources.
I am so thankful for technology helping me to stay connected with family. I especially delight in receiving photos of my great nieces and nephews—so wonderful to see their unique personalities shine as they grow!
