The Hwangs serve in Japan. Gordon works in leadership training, working with the students and teachers of Soshin School in Yokohama. He also leads Bible studies and does leadership training at Soshin Church. Lee Ann works as a full time teacher at Soshin School. She teaches a full load of English classes for junior and senior high students and is presently helping lead the chapel services. Lee Ann writes:

•    Please pray for the chapel time. Pray that they will feel God's hand on them and confidence in their part. Pray the rest of the student body will begin to be more comfortable with this "new" format and receive the music into their hearts and minds. Ask for the Holy Spirit's help them understand the words of the music and the message. Ask for open hearts to believe that Jesus' love is for them and a desire to have a saving relationship with Jesus.
•    There are still issues surrounding this. I believe Satan desires to keep the chapel times the same since many students sleep through the chapel times.
•    Please pray for me. I am speaking longer at Chapel than I expected. And I will have a meeting with the Christianity committee (I don't know how to translate that) and will hear their critique of last year's praise music chapel times. I have already heard that there is some criticism which I was not fully aware of. Pray that I will be gracious and my words in answer will be kind. Pray for understanding all around in the meeting. Ask that God's will be done and He be glorified.
•    Pray for my translator. She is a wonderful Christian who shares my enthusiasm for contemporary worship songs.
•    Pray for their daughter Miki (10) who just fell and broke her leg. Also pray for their other children, Naomi (12) and Matthew (8).
