Silence is Golden... and we can't wait to talk about it!

We returned from our visit to Illinois for a conference in Budapest to meet our new International Ministries Executive Director Elect, Rev. Sharon Koh.

Missionaries from Europe and the Middle East, joined by several global personnel, gathered the first week of August in the beautiful offices of Hungarian Baptist Union, getting to know one another and discussing our part in IM's five-year plan, Respond to the Call.

You may be surprised that I inspired the title of her blog. I led the group-building activity on the first day, instructing everyone to show three people three pictures from their phones--without talking! I quietly wrote the directions on a poster, starting with "Silence Is Golden." The rest of the week we had a great time, sharing ideas, concerns and dreams.

Sharon asked us not to post pictures or anything about the conference until she had published on her blog, IM Around the World. It was so hard to wait!!!
