We’ve been busy for the past few months! I am sorry for not updating you all. Let me begin to catch up in this journal for June.

In May, we celebrated Gen-chan’s* birthday during our Friday Bible study (see photo).  Gen-chan came to us through his mom, A-san*. We were introduced to his mom through retired IM missionaries, Chuck and Judy DeRolf (see 2nd photo). In April, Chuck and Judy had returned to Japan for a vacation. They met with some of their former students, including A-san. Judy introduced us through email. We invited Gen-chan and his mom. Gen-chan became friends with our son and H-kun* in our group. In May and June, Gen-chan attended youth worship services and our Bible study faithfully. He came early to our Bible study, and met with Matthew for discipleship. Matthew, invited Gen-chan to pray and receive Jesus into his heart! So now, we can also celebrate Gen-chan’s re-birth day, too! We are very joyful and are praying for him to continue to grow in faith, as Matthew will continue to disciple his friend. Would you please pray for them, too?

A-san is attending a local church, Nokendai Bible Fellowship. We see her once a month. Please continue to pray for his mom, A-san, for faith in Christ.
