Dear Loved Ones,

"For I washungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave something to drink, I was a strangerand you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me…"Mat.25:35-37.

Peace and Greetingsto you and to all your loved ones.

On one of my visits to schools, I met Mr. Lolo who happened to live near the entrance to the University where we live.He directs a one -room school that he began
many years ago.He was inspired to start the school when he came upon two small boys playing one afternoon. They were playing with knives and the game turned into an argument. One boy killed the other.Mr. Lolo who is not even a high school graduate was very disturbed by this tragedy. He reasoned that had these boys known Christ the killing would not have occurred. He decided that if he created a school where young children could get an education and learn about Christ these kinds of events would not happen.

He has been faithful to that vision and running a small school for a number of years.Since the depressed economic situation has made it impossible for many small schools to continue, we have been giving some financial assistance.Without his little school and many others like it many Haitian parents would not be able to educate their children.

When we arrived back, the biggest news in the area was that this man's wife had given birth to quadruplets. This was a historic event-A NEVER SEEN BEFORE- for the Limbe area.Soon after birth one of the babies died leaving the Lolo family with triplets added to the two boys that they already had.Instantly, the number of their children more than doubled!

The Lolo family lives in a 14x9 Feet tin house along with his mother-in-law. Before the arrival of triplets Mr.Lolo had begun building a modest block home. However since the historic births and his wife's subsequent fragile health this project has stopped. The family is hardly able to buy necessary food and medicines.Their situation has become very desperate.

We are continuing to support his ministry at the school but it has become clear that his family crisis may be the undoing of everything.Faithful Christians such as this family are the backbone of the Christian ministry in Haiti.Their testimonies inspire us.These situations challenge us to holistic ministry as Jesus would have done.We ask you and we ask ourselves in the case of the Lolo family: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

Subjects for prayers:

1.Mr.Lolo family-specially the triplet and the housing project.

2. TheNzunga continuing ministries in Haiti.

In Christ love,
Yours truly.
