Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting. We are getting ready to head back to Haiti. In spite the fact that we are here enjoying  the hot summer in Arizona, all our inner being, all our mind and spirit are in Haiti. We are thinking of our students who are thinking on how they are going to start this coming academic year without adequate financial support.  We are thinking of those newly graduates who do know how to go about finding a job or who do not have connections. We are also thinking of our patients at the eye clinic with their spiritual needs and the restoration of their vision. We are thinking of the newly opened laboratory.

Here is the eye clinic report for the only  month of July. They have seen 481 new patients and have operated on 31 patients. The newly opened laboratory has performed 154 tests.

I just wonder how many of those patients who would not be able to have those tests done  because they do not know where to  go or they do not have money to pay for those tests. Every time when I read those numbers, I wonder the story behind each number.

We are doing what God has sent us to do. We say thank you for your prayers, your support that help those numbers get help but get the best help one can find in our city.

May the God of love continue to bless all of us.

Yours in Haiti,

Nzunga & Kihomi

Dear Friends,

Nzunga's and Kihomi's mothers are both experiencing bad health.  They have flown to see them before it is too late. They stopped over at AZ for Nzunga to have his annual heart check up and also to evaluate his left knee.  He will have that knee replaced in late September.  Please pray all goes well.  His right knee is doing great now.

The addition of the new lab and new equipment is taxing the back up generator which has been having problems lately.  They need to double the size of the KW output.  Soon you will see a new project asking for donations to get this done.  You can imagine if you were having a cataract removed and the lights go out.  It is an essential piece of equipment.

God bless you all for your faithfulness to this ministry.

In His name,

Dennis Shewell
