Joy and Blessings

Dear Loved Ones,

"Count your blessings, name them one by one...see what God hath done..."

This is the reality in our life over here. Early this year, the country had to go some troubles, which put all of us in very risky situation. In May, the flood hit the southern part killing more than a thousand persons between Haiti & Dominican Republic. In June we had sadly to say "Good bye" to the family of Dr. Wayne & Katherine, our missionary colleagues and long time friends who welcomed us in this country. They helped us adjust to this country. They are on their way to the Democratic Republic of Congo. In September hurricane Jeanne badly hit the cities of Gonaives, Pilate and Port de Paix killing thousands of persons and destroying houses, churches, schools, gardens and live stocks. Meanwhile in the capital city of Port-au-Prince violent scenes of beheading people was taking place in what is called "Baghdad operation". All these happenings have left the country deeply wounded economically, morally and spiritually.

In midst of all this God has always been good to us. In January we received the comforting and encouraging visits of our friends and alumni of Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas and the building crew from West Virginia Baptist Convention. Our long time dreamed addition to our house has become a ministry in itself providing beds and foods to many visitors. The East Dover Baptist Church in N.J. sent their own pastor to be the eyewitness of life in Haiti thus becoming the Haitian eyes, hearts, ears and mouths to the NJ churches. Our assistant professor, the Rev. Rigard Charles, was graciously accepted into the M. Div. program at Central Baptist Theological Seminary joining the Rev. Moise Joel Dornsaiville as a second Haitian student from the Haitian Baptist Convention being trained at that institution. The women, under the leadership of their coordinator, the Rev. Kihomi Ngwemi Nzunga, started collecting rocks for their Training& Conference Center in Camp-Coq. Our scholarship students are doing well in their studies. In fact one will be finishing her BA in business Administration in May 2005.

We continue to receive the expression of your love and prayers: boxes of all kind of goods, emails, letters, phone calls, cards, financial assistance for ourselves and the stricken people of Gonaives, Pilates and the many needy in our churches. Without you as individuals, as churches and as supporters we would not be able to do effective ministry in this country we have come to love and to appreciate. Your efforts to increase the World Mission Offering and keep all the missionaries on the field have been deeply appreciated. We have once again been touched by your love.

Kihomi spent 7 weeks in West Virginia where she was very well cared for. Families and churches went out of their way to welcome our ministries in their midst. We are praying for the day when the whole family will be spending time with our loved ones in West Virginia.

Our children have been a source of joy and blessings. Nzunga Magimvuyu has started her nursing school making her infant dream of working in the medical field come true. Nzunga Mafungu is still struggling with his communication studies. He has been the star of their soccer team leading it to wins. Nzunga Giguya is now in 9th grade in Eleuthera, Bahamas where committed Christians are shaping him academically and spiritually. We praise God for their ministry to the world. Nzunga Pambi, 6th grade, is still attending her old school, Cowman International Christian School. She is the only child at home now.

The care, the attention, and the sensibility of our mission board and its staff have meant more then words can express in this letter. They always stand beside us in time of joy as well as in time crisis. We deeply appreciate the ministry of each one of you to us.

It is our prayers that God, the Almighty, will give to each and to everyone what you need the most.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2005.

Yours truly,

Nzunga Mabudiga, Kihomi Ngwemi Nzunga, Nzunga Pambi
