Dear Loved Ones,

We are beginning another year and reflecting on what God has done, how the redeeming grace of Christ is manifested and how we have been sustained, revived, and renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit.Thank you for your prayers and support in so many ways.Happy 2006!Let us continue to expect to be more than conquerors, through Jesus Christ, in this New Year.

We had a wonderful Christmas season. Our two younger children returned to be with us during their breaks from school. While having dinner one evening, Kihomi had prepared beans and meat the way it is prepared in the Congo, when our son Nzunga Giguya Gracia excitedly shared a dream he had while away at school. He said he had been dreaming about this dish to the point that when he awake he could smell the aroma of the food.He said he looked around, feeling disoriented, saying "where am I?"When he realized he was not at home, he shared he felt a tight feeling in his belly becoming hungrier. There at the dinner table he shared how much he misses being away from us and his siblings. It was heart breaking to hear my child express his pain of loneliness; this is the fate of children of missionaries. As they grow, they must be away from us to receive their education and be prepared to take their place in the world.Even though they understand that this is the way God is using us, it is only through Jesus Christ that their hearts and minds are kept focused and their love of Christ grows.

The Women's Ministry continues to expand, now being the model for even the Catholic and the Voodoo women. The love of Christ is shining through.I'm busy with woman projects, all very challenging, none the less, Christ continues to give me fuel to burn the oil lamp of love.

We always pray with them before we leave.I pray he is not about to become ill.Our hearts are heavy for this family. They are in the third year of watching their children deteriorate without any answers. They have many unmet needs:food-meat and juice, medications to alleviate their pain and a medical miracle. The family is very gracious and grateful. The Women's Ministry from Mrs. Daniels' group was arriving as we were leaving. The women were preparing to have Bible study. They also meet at her home for choir rehearsal and worship service.Mrs. Daniels says this is a great support to her.

The country of Haiti needs your prayers. This week twenty-four Haitians died in the Dominican Republic fleeing from Haiti and hiding in a container. They suffocated, according to the news reports.

With gratitude,

Yours serving the Lord in Haiti
