Listen and Pray in Times of Crisis

Dear Loved Ones,

Greetings to each and every one of you. We are fine and praising God for His daily care. Sometimes we don't realize the impact we leave on other people lives until we find ourselves in a life situation.

This was the case Sunday March 19th when we got a late night call. We thought that the call came from the States, which is always the case but this time the call came from Haiti. A former student has gone miles looking for our phone number in order to let us know that his son has gone to be with His maker.

This student shared many times in my classes the fate of their first born son. He was born sick and handicapped for life. Let's say that he had a vegetative life. We have many times prayed and visited the family. When the son died three or four years after his father's graduation, the father wanted to be sure that we are the first to know about the situation."Pastor I want you to know that our son over whom you have prayed has just died." The next day he came in person to be sure that we had received the message.

Those who have sick children or who have lost children will know what it means to call on friends in time of crisis. Alone it gets sometimes difficult to bear the burden. This was the case. Pastor Alfonse called on people he knows will listen and will pray for him and with him.

This kind of relationship is what keeps us going many times over here. We can join the person who sang that if I can help somebody, if I can befriend somebody, then our living in Haiti was not in vain.

May God bless you as you support our ministry so that we can become servants of the Master people can call in time of pain and sorry.

Yours in Haiti
