Dear Loved Ones,
Greetings. This morning Wednesday January 19 we had sadly to say goodbye to our friends from Oregon. Lead by Rev. Gregg Sneller, the team of six persons from Portland, OR visited us from Thursday January 13 to Wednesday January 19. Beside school supplies, clothes, shoes, sanitation items, the team also brought some nice jokes we needed to face our daily stress.
They were involved in helping the Mombin Lataille Baptist Church finish their hygienic toilet. At a time like this when the epidemic of cholera has claimed the lives of many of our people, there is not any gift, more valuable than a clean toilet. We will value their involvement in our life for a long time.
We invite all those who would like to visit us and get their hands dirty on the mission field. We still have some rice and some beans to feed you when you come.
Yours in Haiti
Nzunga & Kihomi
Dear Friends,
When was the last time you were excited about a toilet and thought of it as a lifesaving item? It is only one of the things we take for granted but is not common in many parts of the world. I echo their challenge to go see for yourself and get your hands dirty. It will change your life and you might find that the Haitians actually ministered to you.
