Dear Loved Ones,

Greetings.  At 7:30pm on Wednesday March 23, 2011, my assistant professor, Pastor Henri Claude Telusma called me to see if I was home. I said that I was and he wanted to come. I told him to come without knowing why he was coming at night. At 8:00pm he was at the door. When I opened the door to let him in, I was surprised to see that he was not alone but accompanied by many theology students representing all the four classes (Freshmen through Seniors). I was scared to see all of them. I invited all of them in. The living room was too small to contain them but we all squeezed in.

One senior talked on behalf of all of them. "We heard that you are going on a long trip and we don't want both of you (Kihomi & Nzunga) to go without our prayers. We have come to pray with you".

[NOTE: Kihomi and Nzunga are leaving Haiti on Monday, March 28 to speak at 7 churches in California before going to Arizona for some personal commitments.  In April, they will head home to the Democratic Republic of Congo where they will spend Mother’s Day with their mothers!  Kihomi and Nzunga haven’t seen their mothers in 13 years.  They will return to Haiti in early June.]

At the end of the student's speech, our hearts were filled with joy and strengthened. They sang and prayed for us. Before they left, they presented us with a beautiful plaque for our contribution to the promotion of the school of theology at the university. Please see the photo. What a surprised from our students, what a gift!

In her word of thanksgiving, Kihomi stressed the fact that they had come at the perfect time to feed us because with the stress of preparing for the voyage, we needed some fresh food for our souls.

Thank you for standing by our sides in this ministry of training disciples.

Yours in Haiti

Nzunga & Kihomi
