Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting and peace of our Lord on each one of you.

Recently we visited some churches and some individual families. Everywhere we went; we were well received and well treated. We say thank you to all of you for opening up your hearts in receiving us.

Many people wanted to know the type of ministries they would do if they came to Haiti on a short term mission. Here is a partial list of activities one or a group can possibly get involved:

 - Visit what the Haitian Baptist Convention and American Baptist Churches, USA, have been doing throughout the years: churches, schools, clinics and hospital, agricultural centers, orphanage, water wells, purifiers.

- Help visit the women ministries and be ready to help dig a latrine, to teach about the hygiene principles, family planning and many more.

- Share with the children in goat/pig ministries.

- Build relationship with Haitian people: sit down and talk, be open and ready to learn from our Haitian people.

- Play and laugh with the children. Teach them a song. Your life will never be the same when you return home.

- Teach the English language. Everybody is starving to learn and to speak it.

- Get involved in construction/repair.

- Teach computer skills.

- Help repair some of our used tools and machines of all kinds.

- Assist the missionaries with their daily pile up correspondence.

- Share your life story with nationals.

- Be prepared to bring home a story to tell.

We are ready to welcome you or your group no matter the size.

Yours, serving the Master in Haiti.

Dear Blessed Supporters,

You can look at pictures, hear the stories, and read about work of their ministry.   None of these really completely conveys what it is like to be there.  The sights, sounds and smells just don’t come thru by these means.  I would encourage everyone to plan on taking a short term mission trip to a developing country.  It will change your perspective on your life in the USA and deepen you understanding of what missionaries do and the conditions they work in.  On Nzunga’s and Kihomi’s last trip here they told me that we don’t really enjoy electricity because we have it all the time and take it for granted.

In His Name,
