Dear Loved Ones,

Greeting.

The trip to visit 5 churches in Plateau Central was difficult but enjoyable and blessed to us as well as to those we met. We drove under heavy rain and cloudy sky that reduced considerably our visibility. We crossed about 10 rivers without any bridge. Most of the time, we had to spend over one hour to wait for the over flooded river to go down before crossing.

The crowd was big at every river point. We met people who were soaking wet as they were coming back from the market. Some people had their animals (cows, donkeys, horses etc.) which made it look like a police check point.

We were touched by one child who was wet and cold. We picked her and took off her wet clothes. We wrapped her in our dry blanket. After being warmed up, she decided to take over the steering wheel as you can well see in the picture. She was blessed to have a ride back home. Her courage made our trip fun and more enjoyable. We did not know that we were picking up an expert driver on the dirty road.

We praise God for using us to be a blessing in such a time like that. We also thank Him for the lady who has been accompanying Kihomi in her many trips. It would be harder for Kihomi to go around the Country by herself. We hope to find a way to pay her so that she can become Kihomi’s assistant.

We say thank you for praying for all.

Yours in Haiti

Dear supporters,

We have already reported to you the first day of this trip and hard it was to get there.  This is the first of several journals telling of this journey and both the blessings and tribulations involved.  Please look at the faces of these people, look at roiling rivers and dirt streets.  Look at the small ministries these ladies perform that bring hope and are rarely reported on.  Look upon God’s children and have compassion.

Blessings,
