Dear Loved
ones,
Greeting from Salem, Indiana where I am rounding up my visit of
churches this summer. It has been a very blessed time. The activities of the
eye clinic in the city of Cap-Haitian
continue to evolve very well. Since the beginning of this year to the month of
July, the clinic has seeing 6409 patients and has operated on 118 patients. Now
due to shortage/lack of Viscoelastic (other names: healon, viscoat, provisc,
duovisc, methycellulose, hydroxymethylcellulose), the doctor can not operate. This
lack of the critical gel will paralyze the service the eye clinic could render
to the needy people.
Thank you for your support without it the eye clinic would not be able to care
for its patients.
The hurricane Isaac has left some sorrows in many families. The Haitian web
site Metropole gives this statistics:
24 persons dead
3 persons missing
42 hurts
1005 homes destroyed
6040 homes damaged
Please continue to remember Haiti
in your prayers.
Yours,
Nzunga & Kihomi
Dear Friends,
We are searching everywhere for a solution to this problem of the surgery gel. If you know anyone who could help please have them contact me.
Please pray that the victims of Isaac will be able to recover quickly. We all know it could have been much worse put that doesn’t help those who were affected to feel better.
In His Name,
Dennis Shewell
